I currently have a vsz hosted on a server and I've installed a new vsz locally. How can I migrate the APs and configurations to this new vsz? Does a backup restore work even if the vsz IPs are different (192.168 to 172.16)?

Are these 2 vSZ's running in same firmware version?

May I know the mode of these 2 vSZ(i.e Essential or High Scale)?

yes it's 2 essentials with the same version.

Hi Gaetan,

Please take a cluster backup from the old vSZ and restore it on the new vSZ. Export the cluster backup through the FTP server(follow the below Article below)

i can't access to the cli of the actual vsz is it possible to do this by the web ?

Hi Gaetan,

In 5.2.2 version, there is no option to download the Cluster backup however you could take a configuration backup and restore the Configuration backup on new vSZ

NOTE: Configuration backup would have network device's configuration and settings but not the entire Cluster configuration.

To take a Configuration Backup go to Administration->Backup and Restore->Click on Configuration Tab-> Click on Backup.

Once the Backup is taken, click on that Backup taken-> Click on Download

To restore, Login to new vSZ WebUI-> Go to Administration->Backup and Restore-> Configuration-> Restore->Then upload the taken Backup file-> Click on restore

Make sure you do the license migration from old vSZ to new vSZ
