Hi
I am planning to take VM backup for SCI. This is to be done as safety measure.
In case of requirement can I spin up SCI node with the copied data partition?

Thanks

Hi, can you please elaborate what you mean by a VM backup for SCI? Are you planning to take a VM snapshot?

Also, I would like to get a better understanding of what you mean by "spin up SCI node with the copied data partition", so I provide you with the correct information.

Thanks
Lakshmi

1.) Sort of. Power down VM and copy data partition into separate location as .img file.
2.) In case of failure in the original node Create new SCI node with previously copied data partition bound to new VM as data partition.

Thanks

As an example, let's say I want to move SCI from existing server to new server without loosing existing data. I am planning to copy VM in new server and power it up.

Thanks
