The latest and most recommended version of the virtual/SmartZone controller that supports the AP R700 is 5.1.2.0.302.

The advantage of the SZ controller is that if you need to upgrade to the newest version 6.1.1 (whether to onboard one of the newest AP models or for some specific feature you want to implement), you can still keep the EOL R700 AP on a separate AP Zone with the firmware 3.6.2.0.795 for this zone, while the newer APs are managed in zones with the appropriate version for them.

What happens if AP version 3.6.2.0.795 is not present on my controller?
