ZD 1200 with ZF 7363 or/and other APs such as AP 500

Is it possible to connect both ZF 7363 and other APs such as AP 500 together, If I buy a Ruckus ZoneDirector ZD 1200 for my system? And does the ZD 1200 have to be installed with a certain firmware/driver to connect to the old ZF 7363?

Hi Rasmus,

Both these APs are supported on 9.12.3.0.154.

9.12.3.0.154 is the last version where ZF7363 is supported, so you cannot upgrade to any higher version if you still wish to use ZF7363.

Note: Please read the release notes carefully. Upgrade path should be correct else ZD will factory default itself.

Super thanx fro fast reply. Is there any problem installing the firmware if the ZD 1200 is already installed with a newer firmware?

If controller is currently running on a higher version than 9.12.3.0.154, then downgrade is only possible with factory reset.

This means you can downgrade the system directly from your current version, but since it is a downgrade, ZD will factory default its settings and you have to reconfigure it from the scratch.
