I have a mm2211 model ap with customized firmware. I am unable to manage the ap.I successfully connected a serial console to it. Need help for flashing original firmware via tftp.

If you factory default the mm2211 with a paperclip in the hard reset hole for 8 sec,
it should reply to 192.168.30.1 with login credentials super/sp-admin. Here are the
latest firmware code and control file to put on your FTP/TFTP server. Use the GUI
as it's much easier to use for upgrade, than the serial console CLI.

Thanks for a fast reply.
I alredy tried hard reset but the firmware in device both backup and main are customized.so hard reset not working.
Given links of firmware and control file are not working.
Please give me correct links for download. It would be helpful if there is a guide available for tftp or serial flashing.

Sorry Shailrndra, if the fw is customized, it was OEM'd by an ISP and Ruckus cannot help modify the configuration.

No problem.
But when i download ftp://ftp.ruckuswireless.com/downloads/support/2211_4.4.2.0.79.BL7 it shows a error 550 failed to change directroy.
So please provide firmware only.i

Ah, the filename has a little "L" not Caps.

ftp://ftp.ruckuswireless.com/downloads/support/2211_4.4.2.0.79.Bl7

You might need to edit the fwcntrl_mm2211.rcks file if it has a big "L" in the filename.

Khalid, from Maintenance::Upgrade page, click TFTP method and enter the serveri IP address. Place the two files (firmware and image control file) in the TFTP root
directory on your server. Click Perform Upgrade.

No "flash tool", only firmware upgrades by TFTP/FTP/WEB/Local.

It the device has an OEM customized firmware, we cannot assist further.

For Ruckus from tikona you can use the below steps on this link

once you reset you can update from the update option in the admin console.

The process is the same to reset a Ruckus mm2211. If you have a Tikona or custom OEM AP, the administrative login credentials will not be the same as Ruckus.

Then you use those Ruckus admin login credentials on your Serial connection, ie your original question.

You need to contact the ISP whom you got the customized mm2211 from.
