600 users....how much ruckus do i need?

So we are a hotel and conference center. we purchased 2 r500 unleashed, which we are running standalone. One of the devices is in a ballroom approx 45ft by 15 ft. We have a conference comping up that will have 200 attendees. Each attendee will be using 3 wireless devices, and they want to be always connected. for a total of 600 devices. what do I need to add to be able to grant this request?

6-7 device in total
R500 are dual band hence 50 users / band so that makes it 100 user per ap.
you can have one extra device for spare for just in case scenarios
my calculation is for the objective of providing reasonable and seamless service.
Also please make sure you solid bandwidth and high performance switch to handle traffic for such no of users and for this event to pass through easy and successfully..

R500 has also only 2x2 streams, where R600 has 3x3, as does R700, and R710 has 4x4 radio channelization, which allows higher client count/connectivity.

As for some imperical data, we have R600's using WPA2-EAP and can happily hold 200-250 connected devices per AP without any issue. Maybe 30-40 of them are actively moving data at any point in time and they are spread over the bands but we don't have any issues

You must runging standalone AP mode.

UAP have limit 512 devices.

Hello, i have a question on your answers above. Why R500 can handle only 50 users per band? Product guide says 512 concurrent users. Where is the catch? This question is just for interest

catch is that its "upto" 512 per AP is when you use open SSID (no security, no encryption).. AP capacity to handle no of users varies on whats user's are transmitting and how much... thats why:
they also publish it can handle max SIMULTANEOUS VoIP CLIENTS to be Up to 30..
there is a difference between user just associated and not passing traffic b/w user associated and passing traffic...
