      <title>Master WAP has Power, but no Connection</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My master WAP on the first floor of my home has power, but no connection. I’ve attempted a couple of troubleshooting activities;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;disconnect and reconnect from/to splitter&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;connect to different port on splitter&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;quick press reset button on WAP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ensure all firmware updates have been completed (although currently the app cannot communicate with the WAP)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;could someone provide more assistance on what may be causing this. It is causing low connection in this area of my home and I have a couple of devices in this area that require a stable connection. Another WAP is nearby and I believe they’re pinging off of that one currently. All other WAPs are working with no faults currently.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The WAPs depends on a Switch which is the one that provides power, this must be in a cabinet, by default should be the same brand (Ruckus) model ICX7150-12P Switch, may look like the next image:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Follow up the next troubleshooting steps:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1:Ensure the ICX 7150 Switch is getting power, if no, please test another power outlet.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2:In the ICX7150 Switch check if the&amp;nbsp;System light is green, the next image will provide you the location of the ports including the system:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;3:The ICX7150 Switch must provide power to other devices in the house such as the doorbell or even cameras, so make sure if the only devices affected are the WAPs or all of them.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4:If all the devices connected to the Switch are no getting power, but if you connect a computer directly to the switch with an Ethernet cable which just required data traffic works fine, could be that the ICX7150 have disables the PoE(power over Ethernet) so this must be enabled back, let me add the option to enable it via web GUI, this what you require.&lt;BR /&gt;A:Connect the computer from directly to the ICX7150 Switch with an Ethernet cable in one of the 12 port mark with yellow in the next image.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The switch has power and all other connected devices &amp;nbsp;(WAPs) have power and connection. All of my other wireless devices have power and connection. They’re working fine. Only the single WAP does not have a connection to the switch, it however, does show it has power. &amp;nbsp;I’m not sure the troubleshooting method you provided is applicable.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advise, thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On the functioning WAPs, the lights for PWR, CTR, 2.4 and 5G are all illuminating. On the one WAP with no function, the PWR is flashing and the CTR is static, no other lights are illuminated. I’ve attached some images. &lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Based on your description,&amp;nbsp; PWR LED&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;blinking Green means that the Access Points are not getting an IP address from&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;router. Please confirm the cable connection of your device.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Check if the port the AP is connected to is providing DHCP services on the Native/Default VLAN.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The versions must match for the AP to join the network unleashed existing&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1-Connect the AP to your router to get a valid IP&lt;BR /&gt;2-Ssh to the IP, default credentials are admin/sp-admin&lt;BR /&gt;3-Run the following command &amp;gt; show version&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4-Confirm the version of the AP&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Also let me add more detail to understand the LED lights of your Access points.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

 &lt;LI&gt;Try another port on the switch.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Try a different cable if possible. Check the cable ends for damage, corrosion, etc..&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No errors were shown on my screen when I attempted the process flow shared prior. I’m not sure why the 1 WAP is not getting an IP address.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For the other steps you’ve mentioned, I’ve tried these before. I’ve swapped cables to the port on the switch and have been able gain connection on another WAP. So I know the switch is functioning as expected. I’ve attempted to swap just the cable from the 1 non-working WAP to another port and no net change. I cannot physically see any damage or corrosion, but I do not have a cable end tester to verify this for sure.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;At this point it has been multiple weeks of diagnostic work with no net change. Can this issue be escalated. I’m not sure if you folks have a manner of contacting the home warranty team to schedule some form of on-site support. Thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;For further clarification please let us know the error you were getting while trying to solve the issue.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I’m not sure if my previous response was clear or not, so let me clarify.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I understand no IP address is being sent, again, all of my other WAPs have an IP address and are working with no issues. Only 1 unit has an issue. The router and switch are functioning correctly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;no errors are populating, so I have nothing to screenshot and attach or describe further.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;please escalate.
