Ruckus switch not showing in the dashboard

Ruckus switch is not showing in the dashboard, does this mean the switch is not working ? Tried adding manually, but I am not sure of IP address. When I run the IP scanner, showing two AP IP's but not finding the Switch IP I guess. Any suggestion how to add switch to dash board first. Then I can continue debug the rest.

In order that the Switch can be added to the Unleashed Dashboard for monitoring must be running the code 08090 minimum, now please confirm you have a ICX7150 Ruckus Switch, because there are some Lennar houses with other brands, and that the Switch is not showing does not mean that is not working, just that is not associated, and you can not manage the Switch from Unleashed Dashboard is for monitoring and should appear in the IP scanner as long you are connected to the Switch via wire or wireless to the unleashed network.

I confirm the switch model is ICX7150 and I still don't see it my unleash dash board. What needs be done ?

You need to gain access to the Switch, if you are having issue with the IP address, try via console and upgrade the Switch to the code 08095g, upgrading both partitions to the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin, you can run the show version commands to confirm if your version is lower than 08080, and if that is the case you need to upgrade twice from the code you are to 08080f using the Image file SPS08080f.bin and the boot file named spz10114.bin, the from 0808f to 08095g UFI using only the image file named SPS08095ufi.bin for both partition primary and secondary.

1:Try t find the Switch IP address, by wiring the computer to the Switch(hope windows) use any of the yellow ports

2:Run the IP scanner.

I think I do see the switch in the IP scanner but not in unleash. When try adding in the unleash, it says disconnected. It says "Failed to ping ICX XXXX. Suggest checking the network"

Please share the next log from the Switch and the error you are getting from Dashboard.

1:Commands from Switch, please share all the input, normally when you run the commands if you have more than one page you need to press the space key on your keyboard to display all the information, with the show log press twice the space key only.

Your Switch is running routing code and an old code 08080, you need to fix the routing code issue, after that may join however the next will be performing an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI.

1:Fixing the routing code issue:

ICX7150-C12 Router>enable

ICX7150-C12 Router>show flash (you can confirm in which partition you have the correct code that will start with SPS example: SPS08080f.bin normally will be your primary partition)

ICX7150-C12 Router#copy flash flash secondary (this will copy what is in your primary code to the secondary)

ICX7150-C12 Router# write memory

ICX7150-C12 Router#show flash (now both partitions must start with the SPS before the code type)

ICX7150-C12 Router#Boot system flash primary yes

2:Configure SSH:

Switch(config)#configure terminal

Switch(config)#crypto key generate

Switch(config)#aaa authentication login default local

Seem during the Upgrade the SSH and LLDP were not enabled, so the Master Access Point will not discover the ICX Switch, So let's enable those protocols.

Switch(config)#configure terminal

Switch(config)#crypto key generate

Switch(config)#aaa authentication login default local

Switch(config)#lldp run

Switch(config)#write memory

Note: give 10 minutes after changes, if it does not join, hit add from the Unleashed dashboard, if you run show log, you will be able to see the Master IP trying to indicate a SSH session into the Switch.

I did these steps and AP's are not getting power :

those commands are not to enable PoE in the Switch, now I confused, because at the begging you contacted us became the ICX Switch was not showing in the dashboard (so this mean that your Access point were powering up), now you are telling me that, please clarify what is your problem now.
