Buzzing noise coming from router

Customer has a buzzing noise coming from router. Can you advise how to clear?

Thank you for your question.

In order to be able to help you better we need to clarify some questions, appreciate if you can reply to all points:

1- Are you refering to the internet provider router or the RuCKUS ICX 7150 switch?

2-If the noise comes from the ICX Switch:

The ICX compact switch is fanless, so there should not have any buzzing sound comming from it.

-Inspect the Environment:

Ensure the switch is installed in an environment where the ambient temperature does not exceed 45°C (113°F), as per the installation guide.
Check for any external sources of noise near the switch, such as other equipment or vibrations.
Ensure that the airflow around the device is not restricted, as this could lead to overheating and potential noise from components.

If the sound continues and is not an evironmental problem we will need to try and access the switch software and see if there are any alerts that can lead us to the cause of the problem.

1. First, identify the current IP address assigned to the switch ICX-7150-C12P by your local router. You can use an IP scanner tool to easily locate the switch's IP address on your network. Here is a guide on how to perform this using IP Scanner free applications:

If you can access the Command line the prompt should look like below:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

3. After successfully accessing the CLI, please execute the following commands and provide the outputs:

enable

show version

show flash

show chassis

show inline power

show inline power detail

show interface brief
