      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've had to work with support multiple times on this issue. Every time there is a power outage, I lose activity on all the switch ports. Only the power and syst LEDs are lit. Power is green and syst is amber. I was told that I received one of the older switches when we got the house. Is there any way I can replace my current switch with one that doesn't do this every time there is an outage?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Basically, due the power outage the switch went to a state that we called (boot-mode) that is not able to boot up properly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That does not mean is broken or need to be replace 'in some cases'&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1-Please try to disconnect from the Power outlet the ICX-7150 and reconnected.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2-Please try to press the reset button using a paper click or a small stick&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Remove power from the switch.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Press and hold the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Reset&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;button while applying power to the switch.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;After all the system LEDs flash amber, release the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Reset&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;button.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If that does not make any difference, we need to perform a software recovery since it can be that the image flash is corrupted so in basic words the unit is not able to boot up properly and need re-install the image to boot up properly.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3-We need to access (physical) using one of the cables to the ICX-7150C12P mentioned on the below guide:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Once we are there, we can try to boot up the unit using the following commands:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Boot_primary&lt;/STRONG&gt; or &lt;STRONG&gt;Boot_secondary&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If that step does not work Software recovery needs to be applied&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the quick response. We have outages frequently in my area, so I've had to do this multiple times. I don't want to have to do this every time there is an outage. One of the technicians I worked with mentioned that there is a newer model switch that doesn't have the problem of going into boot mode. Can I replace my current switch?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;There are no new models for ICX-7150-C12P.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also, as mentioned, that doesn't mean the switch is bad.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Without proper troubleshooting, we cannot replace your switch.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;That is not possible&amp;nbsp;as the replacements are the same devices but to avoid this you can upgrade to 8095g and this problem should not occur so repeatedly.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The best step is to have an UPS ( Power protector ) connect&amp;nbsp; it to the ICX-7150-C12P&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Could you please sent us a screenshots while you are doing the software recovery to make sure the steps.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You need to troubleshoot the unit that you have ( is not broken or damaged )&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We also cannot have units replaced or shipped without troubleshooting.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There is a huge fault with this model switch that is not being acknowledged. If I get a UPS that has a couple hours of battery life and have an outage that lasts 3+ hours, the switch will power down. When it powers back on, it will lose the boot config. Do you expect your customers to serial into the switch every time this happens?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
