      <title>Ruckus ICX7150_C12 having problems booting up</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am unable to get this switch to boot up.&amp;nbsp; I followed all of the instructions I was given to update and save the image and boot files and I completed a reset command the switch failed to boot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The console displayed the following test after the reset command.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NAND read: device 0 offset 0x4000000, size 0x2000000&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3 ecc_errors after reading&amp;nbsp; 5efa000:5efbc00&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Iproc_nand_read_page returned 2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NAND read from offset 4000000 failed -22&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;0 bytes read: ERROR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;## Loading kernel from FIT Image at 7000200 …&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bad FIT kernel image format !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ERROR : can’t get kernel image !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ICX7150-Boot&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Switch displays a green PWR and an amber SYST light on the front panel.&amp;nbsp; None of the 12 network ports seem to be in working condition.&amp;nbsp; I tried to reply to your response to my original request for help but that reply was marked as SPAM and not accepted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please help me get this switch back working&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I downloaded the 0809k firmware again and extracted the boot and image files for the ICX7150 switch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I configured and connected the TFTP server on my PC with a CAT 6 cable from my PC to the Switch’s management port.&amp;nbsp; I am using a Cat5 to serial DB9 cable I have from Cisco connected to a serial DB9 to USB adapter connected to my laptop USB port.&amp;nbsp; I am using PuTTY to gain access to the switch’s console. .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I’m not at all sure how to supply a picture of these connections to this document.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I continued to follow the instructions and used all of the setenv commands. .&amp;nbsp; I followed the steps in the instructions and got a LIVE reply to the Ping 192.18.0.2 request I sent.&amp;nbsp; I followed on and setnv image_name , and the update_primary.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This resulted in&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Updating PRIMARY image over TFTP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Load addr=0x70000000&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Change GMAC speed to 1000MB&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using bcm_xgs_gmac-0 device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TFTP from server 192.168.0.2; our IP address is 192.168.0.3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Filename ‘SPS08090k.bin’.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Load address: 0x70000000&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Loading: &amp;nbsp;T T&amp;nbsp; T T T T T T T T&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Retry count exceeded; starting again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ICX7150-Boot&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I continued on with the Secondary image instructions and received essentially the same set of messages for that attempt.&amp;nbsp; The Boot image gave me this set of output.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Loading image to Uboot Partition 1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Change GMAC speed to 1000MB&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using bcm_xgs_gmac-0 device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TFTP from server 192.168.0.2; our IP address is 192.168.0.3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Filename ‘mnz10115.bin’&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Load address 0x61007dc0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Loading: &amp;nbsp;T T&amp;nbsp; T T T T T T T T&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Retry count exceeded; starting again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ICX7150-Boot&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I issued the reset command and saw a number of error messages&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3 ecc_errors after reading 5efa000:5efbc00&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NAND read from offset 4000000 failed -22&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bad FIT kernel image format !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ERROR: Can’t get kernel image!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ICX7150-Boot&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is where I am now.&amp;nbsp; The switch will not function and doesn’t appear to accept the software updates.&amp;nbsp; Please help me get this switch back in working order.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have now completed the third attempt to reload the software on the switch.&amp;nbsp; For the third time I have been unable to successfully boot the switch.&amp;nbsp; I have sent pictures of the connected cables as instructed and I have downloaded the zip file and extracted the files each time before closely following the posted instructions.&amp;nbsp; Each time I receive a series of error messages basically telling me the retry count exceeded.&amp;nbsp; The reset command results in a&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bad FIT kernel image format !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ERROR: Can’t get kernel image!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe I closely followed the instructions outlined but I do not believe I am much headway in restoring this switch to a working condition.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please either ask me to do something new or consider a different path forward. Thank you for all of your help so far but I need to get this switch back into operation.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#333333;font-size:18px;"&gt;Based on the troubleshooting done, you are unable to perform the Software Recovery on your ICX-7150-C12P &lt;STRONG&gt;Switch &lt;/STRONG&gt;with some corrupt logs on CLI. Tried multiple times however, the failure persists. This&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Switch&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;unit Should be RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) in simple words replacing it.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
