Our Product Marketing team is aware of Apple's announced P2P Airplay mirroring strategy. We have concerns about this design, that ought not to apply their AppleTV use to impact typical wifi infrastructure users this way. However, our products and features default behavior can mitigate some of the effects, without any modification (ie channel 149 avoidance). Impact will likely affect education environments and capacity for 802.11ac with 80MHz channelization. We hope that we and users can convince Apple to reconsider this static channel discovery approach.

I am a bit shocked by AppleTVs aggressive stance on channels 149 and 153. Any thoughts from Ruckus folks would be appreciated.
