Should be Hyper-V, KVM, VMware compatible. cores, ram, hdd all depend on which VSZ model you get and how many APs/clients you will have.

The "best" place to look is the Release Notes for the version of Virtual SmartZone you are considering to install.
Latest firmware with the most features/functions may require more CPU/RAM/HDD than earlier releases.
