HI,

I am looking at getting rid of my ZD and shifting over to CloudWifi, but i have a few questions first:
Reasons are we are moving to 2 sites, and our ZD is old.

1) Do i need to open any firewall ports by moving over to cloudwifi, because of replacing the ZD?

2) Can i setup Scheduling of AP's SSID's ? i don't need my WiFi to be running on Sundays and weeknights.

Cloud Wi-Fi leverages the SmartZone software hence there are several ports which need to be opened on firewall for it to function correctly..

Just a side note: All communication between Ruckus Cloud and the APs is initiated from the AP. If the firewall is allowing SSH, HTTPS etc ports from IN to OUT direction, then there is no need to add any firewall rules. Vast majority of cloud wi-fi customers do not need to update their firewall.

Just read in the FAQ, that can get a free R310, is this still available? is this for USA only?

Time-based scheduling of WLAN availability can be configured by going to Venues->select your Venue->select the Networks tab for that venue->right hand side you see a Clock icon as below which allows you to set the on/off schedule.
