Which companies are selling Ruckus in Australia to retail clients?

I'm moving to Tasmania after 25 years in the USA.

I've reached out to Encapto WiFi (as a listed partner) and after 2 weeks I've had no reply. I suspect the same for all partners. They are all looking at major infrastructure so selling a single AP is probably too much effort for them.

Is my best course of action to buy an R770 here in the USA, before I leave?

I reached out to one two weeks ago, as I stated in my post, from the Partner Locator portal.

No reply.

So either I'll find a California based company or use Amazon if no partner from Australia replies.

Thanks and good luck. Since Ruckus and partners normally sell to enterprise level entities, and not individuals, I certainly understand if this doesn't get traction.

As a backup I can always get one off Amazon.

The Australian sales team helped me buy a single AP last year. I filled out the Ruckus One trial form (doesn't work with ad-block) and they contacted me the next day, so maybe that's the trick?
My Ruckus sales guy was fantastic. He fell over himself to help me out, organizing quotes from a local retailer & following up to make sure I'd been helped out. If Ruckus don't help you tomorrow then you can message me privately and I'll give you his contact details.

Failing that, all of my local retailers are sourcing from Dicker Data. So maybe contact them and ask for a good Ruckus referal?

It might be cheaper to buy from US because you can often avoid sales taxes. Keep in mind though that US APs are region-locked, so in theory can't be used elsewhere. Fortunately (for this situation) Ruckus have had a spectacularly terrible run of security vulnerabilities lately, so a quick google search will help you use your US-locked AP in Australia.

Finally, keep in mind that AFC isn't currently a thing outside north america, so your 6GHz range will be a bit underwhelming once you hit Oz.

My referred retailer was PB Tech NZ. I see they have an Australian arm, and were very happy selling single APs.

Also, if you do buy in USA, I'd be very careful about Amazon. A lot of marketplace sellers aren't authorized, so you have no Ruckus warranty at all. Derek Seaman posts quite regularly on the RuckusWiFi Reddit (as Travel69) that he has a retail-friendly authorized reseller who will sell at a good discount, so I guess contact him.

I feel that going for Ruckus One trial, when I'll be using Unleashed, as it's for home, is ingenious. So that doesn't work for me.

US APs default to US but I believe you can change the country by doing a factory reset, but I'll check up on that point.

6GHz isn't legal in many places yet, and, since this is for home use, I don't think it'll be an issue that 6Ghz locked out once I set it to Australia.

I've been in IT for 35+ years, so I did know about the security issues. Not relevant as I'll be in the suburbs of Hobart and the APs will be behind a firewall. So I'd probably notice people in cars outside and it's trivial to change a SSID password. But if I didn't know this, it would have been a very useful update.

I'll checkout Reddit. I hadn't got around to following those links as I don't have to buy until early April.

Thanks. I'll reach out in a few days to see if it's viable. Since I don't come back home until April, this isn't a problem that needs to be rushed.

FYI: I come from Collingwood, so all I know of Mount Waverly is from Waverly Park, in the '70s, watching the AFL games when Collingwood lost (so many times).
