Migrating vSZ from one VMware environment to another - license question

I need to migrate our vSZ to a new VMWare environment, and while exporting and importing the VM is straightforward, I wonder about transferring the licensing - if that's even necessary.

Would the serial number stay the same after a move like this? If not, I assume I'd have to transfer the licensing via a request with support.

If I have this right - and I'm not sure if I do - how quickly do those license transfers generally happen? Would I be looking at any significant down time?
