I have a Zoneflex 7363 WAP that is connected to a Zone Director. It periodically has the 2.4 Ghz light go amber/orange. The last time I tried to connect to it for diagnostics, it came up fine and went back to being green.

Is this some sort of sleep mode? Is there some kind of problem with it?

If nothing has changed in the setup with the Zone Director, does that mean the WAP is damaged?

Where is the signal quality poor? Coming from the WAP? Coming from the client? Coming from the ZD via the ethernet cable?

I think it just means at least one attached client has poor RSSI for that point in time. It doesn't really indicate a problem per-se - it's just informational. It could indicate the noise floor went up, a bag of water (person) walked in front of the client, etc.
