Customer is looking to change out to a SmartZone appliance. Preemptive question if firmware needs to be changed.

Hi Mark,

The answer is yes, firmware 114.x is indeed designed to support SZ platform.

If the SZ is running latest 5.2.x firmware make sure to set IPv4 only mode from AP CLI to prevent running into AP onboarding issues.

Hi Mark,

Yes, it is compatible!

All you need to do is, discovery the controller using DHCP or DNS, or you can manually point the AP to the controller.

Command for AP CLI is:

set scg ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (here x.x.x.x is the SZ controller's control IP address)
