Hi All

I have Configured Rockus R510. Firmware: 200.8.10.3.278. Added another Rockus R500 Firmware: 200.7.10.202.118.

I am unable to configure added R500. Check image:

R500 is now EOL i know but any chance to configure together? If not how configure it like new AP. I can't enter web based interface to R500. I see this massage in browser: Building the Unleashed Network. It may take a few minutes. Because of I am unable to make working this two AP together I am stucked now now 😐

Any ideas?

Hi Electro.

R500 has detected another master (R510) in the network and it is trying to connect.
This is the reason you are not getting the GUI.

R500 is not supported in 200.8 release, so you either need to match the supported hardware on the 200.8 version or you need to downgrade the R510 to 200.7 so that R500 can connect.

Yes R510 is master and R500 trying to connect but because of version mismatch will be unable to connect. In this situation can I configure R500 like new AP without move and configure R500 in different network?

You can convert the R500 AP from Unleashed to Standalone AP from the below link

HI Electro,

I think it is much easier and beneficial if you simply factory default both the APs and downgrade R510 to 200.7 and then connect them both as a single Unleashed network.

This way you can avoid configuring and managing R500 as standalone and R510 as Unleashed.

many other vendors hardware are unable to downgrade, only upgrade so rockus ap can be downgraded just uploading older firwmare?

Hi Electro,

Yes, you can just upload the 200.7 firmware to downgrade.
However, the AP (Master) will go for a factory reset and will lose the config.

After this If I again upgrade R510 to 200.8 firmware R500 Will lost connection again to master AP(r510) yes?

How do you downgrade the firmware? I have a R500 and was looking at R510s and R610s R650s. I thought I could just get one and plug it in and it would work with Unleashed.
