R720 802.3bt support

I have read conflicting information (datasheets) on whether or not R720 supports 802.3bt. Can someone verify if R720 indeed supports 802.3bt?

Hi CVCCSI,

R720 require 33.5W, if I have a 802.3bt poe capable switch I would manually set the power limit in this case. Is there anything in particular that you are looking ?

So manually set POE to 802.3at+ on r720 will get me the 33.5w needed to run at full power with a 802.3bt POE switch?

Yes, that is correct. Use the below command if you want to set\check the power mode on the AP CLI.

rkscli: set power-mode at+
rkscli: get power-mode

Thanks for the reply.

Another issue to verify. 802.3bt comes either as Type 3 or 4, do I need to get type 4 since I've read that R720 only uses 2 twisted pairs for power and type 3 only supports 30W for two twisted pair while type 4 supports more?
