    <description>When I go with 20Mhz, smartselect starts off on the lower channels then jumps up to 108+ within a few minutes. There's no other 5ghz AP's around me and it seems to detect interference a lot, this normal?

It seems my MBP 2010 doesn't support some of the channels its selecting:

However my Mac Mini supports all the channels:

The above aside, I would prefer to use 40mhz, is this a bug in the firmware with the New Zealand region?

I rebooted the AP, prior to the reboot it was doing it for channel 116, after the reboot its doing it for channel 165.

Any insight would be appreciated

      <description>I think it's related to channel bonding for the 40Mhz width combined with your country code. Try going to 20Mhz and see what happens.</description>

      <description>When I go with 20Mhz, smartselect starts off on the lower channels then jumps up to 108+ within a few minutes. There's no other 5ghz AP's around me and it seems to detect interference a lot, this normal?

      <description>Just to close off, I think we've opened a bug on this. Your workaround is to blacklist the channels that are impacted.</description>

      <description>fyi, i've also had this happen on a 7982 with the same firmware release, configured with all defaults (except that i enabled the 2.4 and 5ghz radios and gave them SSIDs)...</description>

      <description>I went ahead and made the switch to 20Mhz channels on both AP's.  (Note that it was already using 20Mhz on the 2.4G radio so only had to switch the 5G).  Since then the UNBLOCKED entries have gone away.  Here is the last ten minutes of log activity.  It still seems like there is a lot of unwanted activity but perhaps you can make sense of it.  The "unable to find active wlan device" concerns me the most.  Also, no matter what time server I use, the time stamps are about 7 hours off.

      <description>If you don't want to switch to 20mhz then you can just blacklist the offending channels, for me there was about 3 of them
&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
Just ssh into your AP and run:
&lt;BR /&gt;
set blacklist wifi1 xxx -1
&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
Where xxx = channel number
&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
My AP is standalone, not sure it matters</description>

      <description>James, I was doing exactly that, but the issue just kept surfacing on different channels that I had to blacklist, one by one. I finally gave up and  used 20 Mhz bandwidth instead...</description>

Thought I'd let you know that Ruckus have fixed the bug in releases 9.6.2.0.13 and 9.7.0.0.220 which are available for download here &lt;A href="https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software" rel="nofollow"&gt;https://support.ruckuswireless.com/so...&lt;/A&gt;

I'm using 9.7.0.0.220 as I'm only using a standalone 7982
