I recently acquired several used Ruckus R650 access points and am trying to reset them for use on my personal network. I have performed hard resets using the reset button and also powered them on with a power cord while connecting them directly to my computer for configuration. However, once they are connected to a network, they erase the settings I applied and revert back to their previous controller configuration, which locks me out. I have also attempted a standalone firmware update, but that was unsuccessful as well. How do I permanently detach them from the previous controllers power?

Hello

Could you please confirm if the APs were previously connected with the Unleashed controller in your network?

Are the APs getting IP from the DHCP server or via static IP ?

If you have any previously unleashed controllers in your network, please try to shut down those controllers/APs if they are not required. Or also, if the APs are getting IP from the DHCP, change the network/subnet of the existing controller so the AP will not be able to communicate with your existing controller.
