Ruckus R750 stand alone (solo) AP with Opnsense: download speed extremely slow with laptop but not iMac.
iMac: 800 Mbps download.
Lenovo Thinkpad P16 Gen2 (Fedora 42): 45-50 Mbps download.
Laptop wireless adapter:
lspci shows: Intel Corporation Raptor Lake-S PCH CNVi WiFi (rev 11)
Lenovo website shows: Intel® WiFi 6E* AX211 802.11AX (2 x 2)*

Ruckus R750 purchased used. I did a factory reset and installed solo firmware: 118.2.0.0.875.

I didn't make any extra adjustments to the settings other than enable the 2.4G and 5G radios and entered the correct network info to get the AP working.

Equipment flow is as follows Spectrum Router -> Protectli VP2430 (with Opnsense) -> TP Link SG-1210MPE switch -> Ruckus R750 (with power adapter).

I did an internet speed test on the iMac (800 Mbps download) and thought "cool".
I decided to do the speed test on my Lenovo Thinkpad (45-50 Mbps download) and thought "not cool".

I had also purchased a TP Link EAP670 AP but thought the Ruckus R750 might be better so I purchased that one too. As a test I removed the R750 and put the EAP670 back on the switch (all network equipment and computers are within a 10-12ft line of sight radius).
The EAP670 (default install) got me 700-800 Mbps download on the iMac and high 600s-800 Mbps on the Thinkpad.

Soooo, any ideas as to what would cause this kind of performance discrepancy?
I'm just now learning the finer details of wireless networking. So, I'm not certain as to what particular adjustments I should try.

I want this to work. I want to use the Ruckus because I've heard such good things about that equipment (and because I bought it and it's not exactly cheap).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
