AP Master placement

My home is 3600 sq feet. ICX 7150 switch is in media panel in master bedroom closet. I have a model 510 AP upstairs (closest to ICX Switch) and model 510 AP downstairs. Which should be the Master AP?

Hello Patty,

If both APs are connecting directly to the ICX switch then it wouldn't matter who is the master AP. Also, given the fact there are only 2 APs in the network both APs have equal preference right now, and both service with the same performance regardless of their role.
