Adding R710 to Virtural SmartZone

I'm replacing and failed R710 with a new one but can't get it to work.

I'm using Virtual SamrtZone version 5.2.2.0.317

the unit powers up and it shows in SmartZone in the Staging Zone. I have connected to the AP with putty and added the server ip to the "Server List". When I check the Status Summary of the AP the connection status shows as Discovery and configuration status show N/A. The lights on the AP show green for power and flashing green for CTL. But the firmware version hasn't updated no the AP. Have I missed something?

Hello, move the AP to the zone, then the AP will update his firmware and get the configuration.

Thanks. The AP does show online.

if I move the AP to a zone and let it update in one segment can I then move it to another subnet?

I'd like to be able to have it pre update the firmware then I would only need to install it at it's new location ready to use.

Yes.

This is possible but make sure that you have not Mesh enabled in that AP-zone.

Else you cannot move it before you disable mesh and let the AP update the config.
