topic R710 Simulateous power via DC and PoE; Can this be done? in Access Points - Indoor and Outdoor

Hoping to power an r710 AP primarily via PoE. However, I was hoping to use a battery backup via the DC adapter port to keep the AP from having to reboot when power via PoE was lost. Will this work? Is this safe? I can not find any documentation regarding this question.

It will be fine, but why not run the switch off a UPS?
