Hi,

I'm using a ZD1106 with 5 7363's in a residence. I have a multi room audio video setup and use airplay to stream music around the house. Thing is that when I am moving from one room to another the music breaks for a couple of seconds when I change from one access point to another.

Since this is my first ruckus install, I'm not enitrely familiar with all the all the customisation settings I should be enabling to solve this. I've tried the basics of ensuring the access points are fairly far apart to minimise overlap and also kept each access point on a separate channel from each other.

Any pointers to help rectify this issue would be appreciated.

Quick note - I am streaming music from an iPhone (local stored music) to a airplay capable receiver and not streaming from the internet.

Having good RF coverage is important. A slight blip when you roam is usually
acceptable, but not if it's seconds. Apple clients tend to be stickier than most,
so we often reduce coverage/data rates, even apply a new 'smart-roam' feature
in 9.7+. Don't use rate limiting. Here is a suggestion to apply to your WLAN,
thru a ZoneDirector CLI (so SSH, and login with admin credentials).

enable
config
wlan
ofdm-only
smart-roam 3
priority high
end
end

The Editor is deleting greater-than and less-than signs!
In config mode, you type 'wlan' followed by the name of your WLAN,
then apply the three commands...
