Dear support Team,
simple question, could smartphone connect directly to a root P300 !? (or P300 can mesh only with an other P300!)
Regards.

Hi everyone, need your advice and experience sharing.

P300 (P-to-P/P-Multi-P bridges) can support Mesh topology in outdoor backhauling Network !? RAP->MAP->eMAP->MAP !? also, can be use-it for wireless end users ?

Regards,

Hi Mehdiars,

P300 doesn't use the SmartMesh protocol. It is a Fixed Wireless Acces (PTP/PTMP) product. Therefore the RAP/MAP/eMAP terminology is not relevant.

In P300 there are 'Root Bridge' and 'Non-Root Bridge' roles. In the case where you need a multi-hop link, you would need to deploy back-to-back links with different SSIDs and the A-link Non-Root connected to the B-link Root with an ethernet cable.

Please see the P300 QSG document here for further details: https://support.ruckuswireless.com/documents/1790-ruckus-zoneflex-p300-ptmtp-802-11ac-bridge-quick-s...

I hope the above helps.

Regards,
Darrel.
Hi Mehdiars,

There's no client device connectivity functionality with P300, only AP<->AP connectivity (it's not really Mesh).

Alternatively you can use Ruckus SmartMesh and have both mesh and client access on the same AP.

HTH,
Darrel.

Hi Darrel,
now it's clear... the question was precisely on P300 and its interoperability.

Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
EA
