what firmware of unleashed are you running? 200.7.10.x? if so rolll back to 200.6.10.x and I just flashed it back to the standalone firmware with no issues.
Yes, I have 200.7.10.64. Are you saying downgrade to 200.6.10.1.312 and then use the web gui to flash 110.0.0.0.663 or 100_2_1_0_148? Do I reset to factory defaults and do minimal configuration with the unleashed wizard?

I'm a little gun-shy because I know that when you convert from standalone to unleashed you must do a factory defaults reset before flashing or else you will brick the AP (ask me how I know).

when I did it... I had to reboot it physically and then it worked on standalone firmware. So what were you testing with unleashed? I recommend for unleashed stick with 200.6.10.x firmware currently since so far the current 207.10.x has issues with iOS devices..where you get extreme slow downloads and extreme fast uploads.

You won't "brick" your AP Craig, with any Factory Default (press indented button 8+ seconds before release).
AP's IP will always revert to 192.168.0.1 and login with super / sp-admin to access HTTPS/SSH.

But, our latest 200.7 Unleashed does not have an easy change FW option (I filed the bug and it's fixed in 200.8 just around the corner).
So for now, try an earlier flavor of Unleashed for your R710, or any later (104.x) Solo AP image, if you want to use one.

https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/1809-ruckus-unleashed-ap-200-6-10-1-312-ga-refresh2-soft...

https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/1017-zoneflex-solo-access-point-104-0-0-0-1347-ga-softwa...

This is what worked for me:

downgrade to 200.6.10.1.312 [this results in a factory defaults reset]

installed 100.2.1.0.148

upgraded to 110.0.0.0.663 [I probably could have gone directly to 110.0.0.0.663]

Once it was running 100.2.1.0.148 I could not into the web gui but ssh always worked. This turned out to be firefox retaining cookies that the unleashed web gui had left behind. Once I removed them the web gui started worked.

I wanted to switch back to standalone because I want a more complicated vlan configuration and possibly use the second gige port. I also never liked the fact that I couldn't get the iphone speedflex app to really ever work at all. Now that I'm running 110.2 I can download UDP at about 700 Mb/s.

Thanks for the hints.

The first time I tried to convert a R710 from standalone to unleashed I hadn't found the related support doc yet (https://support.ruckuswireless.com/articles/000005720) and did not do a factory reset before uploading the unleashed firmware. The upgrade failed with a cryptic error about memory. I was certain it was bricked but I just pulled it out of storage and let it sit with power for awhile and it booted 104.0.0.0.1347!

When I ssh into it running "fw check image2" reports "v54_fw_check(2), bad header magic"

This is cool, I can here with one problem and fixed two!
