Unable to switch network

I installed new internet service and have a new network name and router. The previous network has been cancelled however it’s still the network associated with the Rockus device. I’ve downloaded the app, reset it manually and it keeps connecting to the old network. How can I switch it to use the new network? Thanks

If your old ISP network was cancelled and your RUCKUS Unleashed AP is still trying to use the old Wi-Fi settings, the AP likely still has the previous configuration saved. A reset does not always complete successfully unless it is a full factory reset.

Try the following:

Option 1: Reconfigure the AP from Scratch

Disconnect the AP from power.
Power it back on.
Wait 2 to 3 minutes.
Verify that it is broadcasting a Wi-Fi network named"Configure.Me-XXXXXX" (where XXXXXX is part of the AP MAC address). This is the default setup SSID.
Connect your phone or laptop to the Configure.Me network.
Open the Unleashed app and run the setup wizard.
Enter your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password during setup.

Option 2: Perform a Factory Reset

If the AP immediately comes back with the old configuration:

Power on the AP.
Press and hold the Reset button for 10 to 15 seconds until the LEDs change or the AP reboots.
Wait several minutes for the AP to restart.
Look again for the Configure.Me-XXXXXX network and repeat the setup process.
If It Still Shows the Old Network

A few things could be happening:

The reset is not completing successfully.
There are multiple APs and another AP still has the old configuration.
Your phone is automatically reconnecting to the previously saved Wi-Fi profile.

Try forgetting the old Wi-Fi network on your phone before using the Unleashed app.

It sounds like you have a RUCKUS Unleashed AP/system that is still broadcasting the old Wi-Fi name after changing your ISP/router. The key point is that changing the internet router does not necessarily require changing the RUCKUS Wi-Fi network name. The RUCKUS AP manages its own wireless configuration.

If you want the RUCKUS system to use/broadcast a completely new Wi-Fi configuration, try this:

Connect the RUCKUS AP to the new router/network using Ethernet.
If you can still access the RUCKUS Unleashed app or web interface, change the configured Wi-Fi/SSID there rather than factory-resetting the AP.
If you cannot access the existing Unleashed network and want to start fresh, perform a factory reset, not just a quick press of the reset button. a quick press restarts the AP, while holding the reset button for 8 seconds or more restores factory-default settings.
If you have multiple RUCKUS APs, disconnect the other APs before resetting the master. Because another Unleashed AP can become the master and the reset AP can subsequently rejoin it and receive the old configuration again.
After successfully factory-resetting the Unleashed network, perform the initial setup again and create the desired new Wi-Fi network.

Important if you have multiple RUCKUS APs

This may explain why it “keeps connecting to the old network.”

With multiple Unleashed APs, resetting just one AP might not remove the existing configuration. RUCKUS specifically recommends isolating the APs and resetting them individually when the entire Unleashed network needs to be reconfigured.

So I would first check how many RUCKUS APs you have in the house. If you have two or more.

thank you for the responses. It is indeed a Lennar homes Ruckus device. I have yet to be able to see the configure.me network but I’ll try again. Thank you!
